Film Platform Biography
This is a very interesting film in terms of allegories.
Improping his hidden meaning, I was truly amazed at how close the ideas of its creators are close to me. It is as I can see the Bible, the Qur'an. It was this meaning in them that was initially laid down, but for the reasons unknown to us, this meaning was hidden from people, and the Scriptures began to be understood too literally. The creators of the film, apparently, also well understand the allegories and allegations of the Scriptures.
For which they bow to them. Before we move on to the analysis of these meanings, we will first go through the plot. Therefore, before reading the article, I recommend that you first watch the film itself. It is quite hard, there is a lot of violence in it, so it is better not to watch it with impressionable people. The film talks about Gorenga, who voluntarily goes to an experimental prison in the form of a long mine, which goes underground in several floors.
On each floor there are two prisoners. And in the center is a huge hole, which passes along the entire length of the tower and through which you can see the upper and lower floors. Once a day through this hole, a platform with food descends from above. Food on it is an abundance. It is clogged with delicacies, wines and a lot more. The platform stops on each floor only for a short time.
I can’t take food. Otherwise, the “camera” of prisoners either heats up or cools to such an extent that you can die from overheating, or from the cold. Food stops on each floor only for a short while. Therefore, it is necessary to eat quickly. As the platform goes down, there is less food on it. The prisoners on the lower floors remain only the scraps. And those who are even lower are nothing at all.
Therefore, such prisoners either die of hunger, or end the life of suicide, jumping into a hole, or become cannibals and eat their neighbor. People on the upper floors get food more. They absorb much more than they can eat without thinking about those who are below. No one knows exactly how many floors are in this structure. The cellmate of Gorenga, Trimagashi, says he was on the m floor.
Each month, prisoners are randomly move to other floors. Each prisoner can take one subject with him. Goreng chose the book "Don Quixote". And trimagashi is a self -soothing knife. Once on top, along with food, a bloodied woman named Mikara descends, who, according to her, is looking for her small child on the lower floors. Every month she kills her neighbor and descends below.
Previously, she was a normal, balanced person, but when the elite from the zero floor took her child, she became furious, began to kill. After a month, both prisoners are lulling with gas and they find themselves on the m floor. Goreng wakes up connected. He was connected by Trimagasi, who said that he did this in order not to die of hunger, since there is practically no food on this floor.
A week later, Trimagasi tries to cut off a piece of flesh from him, but then Michara comes to the rescue, who kills him, and she goes on the platform on the lower floors. Goreng is left alone with a corpse. To survive, he has to eat him. A month later, Goreng is on the m floor. Now he has a new neighbor: a woman named Imogiri. As it turned out, she was an employee of a research cent who built this prison, and here she was of her own free will, since she did not live long: she was mortally ill with cancer.
According to her, the prison consists of floors. And if people correctly distributed food, it would be enough for everyone. She begins to call on people on the upper and lower floors. And he doesn’t eat much to be enough for others. But others ridicule her. Then Goreng comes into business, who threatens them to defecate on food if they do not begin to eat in moderation.
Somehow Michara descends to them again, kills the dog Imogiri and eats it. Goreng tells the Imogiri that she does it for her daughter. But she assures that there is no one younger and years old in prison. In a month, both find themselves on the m floor. This suggests that there are much more floors. Imogiri ends with suicide. After another month, Goreng is on the sixth floor. His new cellmate, Baharat, wants to get to the zero floor, to where they are sent food.
The subject of Baharat, which he was allowed to carry to prison, is a rope. With it, he tries to climb the upper floors. But people as if they want to help him from above, but in fact they mock him. And he loses his rope. Then he and Goreng are armed with improvised means, go down on the platform and distribute food on the lower floors. On the way, they meet the indignation of people.
Especially those who are the floors above. Then they decide to leave Pannakotta on the empty platform - a dessert, like a message for the administration of the zero floor to show the idea of humanity. Goreng and Baharat are trying to convey their idea to all people, but the lower they go down, the more harsh they have to behave, because people like frantic are pounced on food.
On the lower floors, they often meet dead people. On one of them, armed people kill Michara. In a fight with them, Goreng and Baharat receive deadly wounds. At m, they find the daughter of Michara. They feed her pannakotta, and decide that the girl will be a message. Goreng leaves the deceased Baharat on one of the floors, and the girl himself descends to the very bottom.
He remains there alone, and sends the girl upstairs. This is a very competent film, with a deep meaning. Many articles have been written about this film, many videos have been shot. I, in turn, also noticed very interesting moments. I did not deal with some. I will only tell you about those that I understood. I do not agree with all meanings. Although I admit that the author’s thought simply did not understand.
I noticed a double meaning in this work. I think this was counted on the author of the film. First, let's talk about the first sense. Food on the platform, which descends from top to bottom, symbolizes God's revelation, a message to people. In fact, in the Bible, in the Qur'an, food means. We eat, absorb into ourselves, know God's laws. As you can see in the film, the most food is received by those who are at the highest levels.
These are those who did not properly appreciate God's food. And they do not just eat her, they devour her, eat more supposed, do not allow her to reach the people that are below. If this is compared with the Qur'an, then with symbolism the author fell not into an eyebrow, but in the eye. People who are called “kafirs” hiding in the Qur'an. They devour the food more than applied.
That is, they hide part of this food, this revelation from people who are below the social chain. People are left only to scraps. People on the ground floor know more about this food, as it passes through them. And the larger the status of a person, the more he has power, influence, strength, the more he has this food, the more he knows about it. And vice versa, the lower the status of people, the poorer a person, the less influence and strength he has, the less truth comes to him.
People at the lowest stage know nothing at all.
