Singer Foxes Biography

Singer Foxes Biography

Five years have passed after her album release All I Need, and now she offers the public a mini-album of Friends in the Corner, inspired by the most positive feelings, but diluted by the tragedy inherent in every life. The singer admitted that it was the pandemic and isolation that inspired her to work. She did not even notice how to end the whole album.

But before letting him out, she decided to collect all the single and summarize last year. The mini-album included 7 tracks, five of which were already released by the singles last year. Each of the songs tells its story, and they all remind that Foxes is an excellent author. The title song opens the mini-album, which asks the question: “Do you need someone? The singer says that we often accept friends as given, and forget about the joyful moments that we spent together.

From friends we go to the family, because the second track - the touching Kathleen is dedicated to the singer’s grandmother - the song is even used in the song with her voice. Foxes always loved to listen to the words of wisdom from the granny, and once decided to write down her speech so as not to forget all valuable remarks about life. By fragmentary notes and notes, she wrote this song: you will never know what you mean for me, so I will just give you a reason for pride.

And in the video they even tried to recreate the house of their beloved grandmother in the form of a puppet house. Last year’s singles-revolution Love not loving you is perhaps the only truly fast track on the release. This song seems to make you run somewhere, although the text is not at all as joyful as it might seem: the girl rejects the person who saves her from depression, because there is no depression-there is no reason for love.

I woke up in the morning after a single night, I realized in a dream that I was in love with my life. I do not need your attention, I do not need your love, therefore, baby, for now. Of course, you can interpret the text in the other direction: the heroine finally fell in love with life again and ceased to depend on the love and approval of others. But even in this story there is a second side: what does one feel on the love of which are now no longer dependent?

The theme here is the unity represented by the dance, and the sound resembles the good pop-songs of the eighties. On Woman, the singer again returns to more serious topics: the song again has a little wisdom from her grandmother, but also a hint of violence against women, which has long been accepted as the norm. I feel your gaze on yourself as if your claws climbed under my skin.

Tell me, how did you deserve my love, just being with me in one place? Friends in the Corner is not a full -fledged project, but only an entry to the new era in the artist’s creative life. And although all these songs cannot boast of the qualities of “hits”, they still remind us that Foxes can write substantive texts and create high-quality pop music without an application for first places in the charts.
