Last Saturday, the townspeople gathered in the square of the Sukhanov family in order to pay tribute to a person with a difficult fate, a fiery fighter for ideas about universal justice, which has not received their principles until the last day of life.

After laying flowers to the monument to one of the most famous figures of Primorye, the participants in the action went to the memorial house in which Konstantin's life was held and which was preserved thanks to him: in the year the museum was opened here in his honor. Today, the branch of the museum-reserve of the history of the Far East named after V.

Arsenyev is called the "House of the Sukhanov family." Here they keep memories of each member of the large family of the Sukhanovs, whose head is Alexander Vasilievich, being the vice-governor of the Primorsky region, in fact led it, made a huge contribution to the development and prosperity of this territory. However, his youngest son, Konstantin, is certainly a key figure in the history of the family.

The objects, documents presented on the expositions allow you to find out the character of the revolutionary and thereby reveal the secret of the conflict of the father and son, to understand how the son could grow up in the family of an influential royal official Sukhanov, who decided to become a revolutionary and change the existing order of things. According to the memoirs of contemporaries, despite the leading positions, Konstantin was a very simple person, open, honest, fair.

A real leader who knows how to find the right words in order to support, instill confidence. He charged others with indefatigable energy, optimism and faith in his business. He certainly had no equal in this. The associates called him simply “Kostya” or “Comrade Sukhanov”. He fought not for power, not for personal interests. He was driven by the idea of ​​universal equality and well -being.

And even in the face of death, Konstantin remained faithful to his principles, which, of course, deserves the most deep respect. Konstantin Sukhanov was shot without trial and investigation by Czech legionnaires on November 18. He had the opportunity to flee: in July, in Vladivostok, the funeral of victims of the counter -revolutionary coup, which resulted in a grandiose demonstration in support of the Soviet regime, took place.

At the request of the townspeople, Konstantin was taken to the rally. At that hour, thousands of residents of Vladivostok were ready to defend him. However, he did not take this chance.
