Almost all works were created already in the 21st century. The oldest of the paintings dates from a year. As the artist himself explained, he wanted to look at his work in terms of creative dynamics. How over the last quarter of a century his painting has changed, and has it changed? But - more on that later. For the first time, the paintings of the young Milovanov were exhibited in our city in the year, then he joined the Kovrov association of artists.

Opening this, opening the exhibition, was told by the director of the Kovrovsky Historical and Memorial Museum, Doctor of Historical Sciences Olga Monyakova. He talked about the village childhood and about the sad fate of the Russian village, about the fighting grandfathers, about trips to the open air and his paintings. According to him, for one or another work, he is taken by a hunch, by the behest of the heart.

Moreover, the birth of the picture is never random. The image must first grow up in the soul of the artist before illumination occurs. So, for example, the idea of ​​the famous painting “Mother I-Mache”, inspired by the battles for Mariupol in the year, was born. In the same year, its reproduction was printed by the journal of the Russian Military Review Ministry of Defense.

In general, the topic of war and its victims, like any Russian person, is close to Milovanov. Too often we had to fight, Russia lost too many human lives, defending its independence. That is why again and again he returns to these stories related to the history of the country, with the history of his own family. One of them is captured in the film "The great -grandson leaves." In it, the artist reflected the image of his grandfather - a veteran and a disabled war of war.

The canvas will soon leave for Yaroslavl, to participate in the All -Russian exhibition. At the same time, to tie Vladimir Milovanov to some one specific genre-it will not work. He is a universal artist, to whom a portrait, plot painting, and graphics are equally available. But, to say the truth, he gained special love and recognition of the admirers of Milovanov’s work with his magnificent landscapes.

They have a rare balance of veracity of image and aesthetics, they are always beautiful without sweetness. So it was in the previous periods of his work, so now. Returning to the idea of ​​this exhibition, where his path is visible, as an artist, in the last 25 years, Vladimir Mikhailovich explained: “I wanted to see my work from the side, assembled.” It was necessary to compare the pictures of previous years and the latter, to determine whether there are changes.

After all, an artist can call himself this only when he grows over himself, changes, searches and tries something new. Otherwise, if he stopped at his work, first of all on himself - he is no longer an artist, but a craftsman. Therefore, the artist must study all his life. So, what I saw at this exhibition and compared what I did 25 years ago with the fact that now I am satisfied.

The difference is noticeable. Such self -esteem, in fact, is worth a lot. Milovanov among artists is known as one of the most severe critics, equally strict both to colleagues and to himself.It is not for nothing that he, the only one living in the carpet of members of the Union of Russian Artists, is attracted every year to work in the qualifying commission of the traditional autumn exhibition.

At the same time, closely familiar people know him as a very soft, friendly and responsive person. And about the unchanging positiveness of Vladimir Mikhailovich and his readiness to help were talked by everyone who performed at the opening of the exhibition. This vernisage, summing up the artist’s creative activity in the New Age, for him at the same time the beginning of the event saturated with the events of the year.
