Childhood and youth The real name of the writer is Evgeny Ivanovich Skurko. There was a period when, while living in the Baltic states, he entered one of the universities from which he was expelled due to political beliefs.

He participated in the release of underground newspapers and magazines, which contained calls for the liberation of the Belarusian people.
