He and his students for a large segment of time introduced a very large layer of ideas in the preventive, healing, and most importantly - in a surgical direction in this ancient, but constantly updated science. Igor Borisovich Manukhin was a wonderful organizer of scientific research, an excellent teacher and personality, who created around him a huge biofield of workers, united by one idea and working for one goal.

Knowing Igor Borisovich for almost 40 years, I always admired his objectivity and impartiality. For many years, we have worked with him in the highest certification commission, which determines the significance of scientific research, their dignity for the award of scientific degrees. And I will never forget how, in the most conflict situations, Igor Borisovich found the only right decision that made it possible not to offend the dissertation even with a negative conclusion, not to infringe on the rights of the dissertation council and individual participants in the protection procedure: the chairman, the scientific secretary, the supervisor and opponents.

In expert activities, all the listed qualities of this wonderful person were manifested: deep education, knowledge of the specialty and related disciplines, the ability to find the main thing that could become the basis for awarding a degree, the ability to justify minor flaws, which, however, did not affect the main achievement of the dissertation, its scientific novelty and practical benefits.

Igor Borisovich created a unique school of teachers, who retained in our very difficult time teaching obstetricity and gynecology the base at which students are prepared, which later become various specialists. One thing is immutable: since ancient times, a graduate of the university had to be able to accept childbirth. This, in fact, the main task of teaching obstetrics and gynecology in medical universities and the work of all the most worthy, experienced and competent leaders of the departments of obstetrics and gynecology is devoted.

This was and forever remained in our hearts, in our memory, in the students of Igor Borisovich, this bright enlightened contemporary of the XX -XXI centuries.
