Makarin biography
Born in the city of Orsk in the family of an engineer and a teacher. Childhood passed in Orsk, in the village of Victory. There were four children in the family. He graduated from the Mathematics Department of Moscow State University, worked in the laboratory of the Military Academy. The literary period began with a visit to the elective of screenwriters and directors. In the city of Makanin, he took the post of editor in the publishing house "Soviet writer".

Makanin fell into a serious accident and received a severe trauma of the spine. He had to spend several months in a hospital bed, being chained in gypsum.
