Many years ago with all the seriousness, what a four -grader was capable of, David told his parents that he was going to study the Chinese language.

They laughed, but supported the idea. And he, inspired by understanding from his relatives, began to collect material about this mysterious and distant country. He was interested in everything: history, people, culture. Over time, passion only flared up. And finally, in high school, he had a real opportunity to seriously engage in his tongue. He ordered a textbook on the Internet - "Chinese language, tutorial." And he devoted all his free time to the study of intricate hieroglyphs.

About children like David, they say: "A talented child." He independently learned to play the piano, today Rachmaninov and Bach can easily play ... he was engaged in national dances in the Ensemble of the Rhythm of the Caucasus. His data was even included in the V Russian encyclopedia "Gifted children - the future of Russia." For the past four years at school, I dreamed of entering the architectural institute and prepared - went to classes on drawing and painting.

And in parallel, he was scrupulously engaged in Chinese. In English classes in high school, he sat down at the back desk, and instead of “Present Simple” or “Irregular Verbs” hesitated and diligently deduced mysterious Chinese symbols, which caused the discontent of school teachers. But David did not know whether he was engaged in the correct methodology, what pronunciation he had.

3 months after independent classes, he went to Moscow for the competition of young researchers “Step to the Future”, by the way, took first place and received a recommendation for participation in the international exhibition in the United States.

Taking this opportunity, he met in the capital with the Chinese and tried to talk to them. He succeeded: he understood and understood him. Returning home to Vladikavkaz, he began to engage in more purposefully every day, a lot of time spent listening to audio recordings, watched films without translation on satellite television ... Until the 11th grade, the guy prepared himself for the future profession - an architect.

But just two months before the exam, David revised his plans. He dreamed for four years, and then suddenly - once, and changed his mind to enter the architectural! Although he still likes this profession. Vladikavkaz, he planned to fulfill his other dream and decided to enter the Moscow State University at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. But, since in recent years at school I have been preparing for one exams, I could not score the required number of points in the necessary subjects - it was not possible to enter the Moscow State University.

But he became a student of the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University with a degree in a translator from the Chinese language. Having studied a couple of months in PGLU, David realized that the level of knowledge of the teachers of the Chinese at the faculty, not to mention students, was below his own, and interest in studying in the walls of the university immediately disappeared.

Increasingly, he began to think about a trip to study in China, but for this it was necessary to pass a qualification exam for the knowledge of the Chinese language. All October, every day, several hours, he was preparing. And finally, in November last year, a test was tested at Moscow State University. A month later, the results were ready - the boy successfully defended his level.

I sent documents through the Chinese embassy in Moscow. He was greatly helped by his famous friend Van Jan in Russian-Vanya, a famous Chinese pianist. He is only 24 years old, and he already gives concerts in the best halls of the world. David told him about his admission and went to China with him. An interview was interviewed at Beijing University. Having stayed in the Middle Kingdom, he fell in love with this country even more.

The impressions of what they saw turned out to be so bright and memorable that all doubts about studying abroad fell on their own. They invited dinner, gave souvenirs. Because the most respected and prestigious, most honorable and highly paid professions in China are doctors and teachers. Naturally, we already had our own idea of ​​this country, but reality was shocking. Compared to Russia, this is a completely different world.

Everything is much more interesting and much more beautiful. China is developing at high speed. The largest airport and the station in the world are there. Now in Beijing the construction of a skyscraper has begun, which will be much higher than in the oaks. And this ancient capital each time becomes more and more like New York in architecture, in the presence of skyscrapers.

This is one of the most beautiful, modern and at the same time ancient cities in the world, because the history of Beijing has millennia. And the standard of living is much higher than ours, people are very friendly, cultural and calm. Much attention is paid to their health.By the evening in the squares, in the parks, women, men, old people, children gather in the parks and are engaged in their traditional dances.

And in the morning they do exercises. They love and honor their traditions, they have many holidays. The moon was recently celebrated, and we were happy to eat their “lunar” cakes. In general, I liked Chinese cuisine, it includes a variety of dishes. The Chinese wall made very strong impressions on me. I imagined it, but reality struck with its scale and a special aura.

The ancient city, where for many centuries the great Chinese emperors, the current Beijing, every corner, have their great history have lived. In China, representatives of international radio interviewed our fellow countryman. They were struck by his level of knowledge of the language, pronunciation. David told them about Ossetia. Where the city of Vladikavkaz is located, the journalists did not know, but when he mentioned that it was next to Beslan, everyone nodded.

Unfortunately, everyone knows this long -suffering city. And they have a certain stereotype about the Caucasus. David told them that North Ossetia is one of the most beautiful corners of the world, here the very ancient culture of Alan, the Scythians, and they were very interested. This, of course, talented, with powerful energy, the young man at the age of 18 achieved what he had strove for many years, but is not going to dwell on this.

Now in his plans - to outline new tasks and purposefully, day after day, step by step, to comprehend other truths. At the end of May, he leaves for China, in September he will begin classes at the University of Beijing. I think this country with its amazing philosophy will help David find its place in life and know the wisdom that gathered for more than one millennium.
