When the rink of Maryino, Bratislavskaya metroly, opened through the road from the house, I asked there. I was given only because there you could ride for a whole year for free. The skates were given to us by our good acquaintance. But they were so pre -revolutionary that I was kicked out of mass skiing, saying that you could not ride in such. And then I asked my parents skates for all the nearest holidays during the year.
Even then they were expensive. And parents did not want to spend money at all. I have no athletes in my family at all, and the word "sport" was never mentioned. So, with mass skiing, I began to engage in, and everything went very quickly. How did the transition happen? There was no desire to cross at all, since there were no prospects. Actually, with everyone we see for the sides of our champions now.
We all trained together, and, of course, I was not the strongest skater, because everyone started at three years old, and I was 11 years old. In addition, I broke a large beret. For a very long time I walked in a gypsum from heel to thigh, practically did not bend my leg, then learned to go again. Mom said that she did not see the point of spending time and money. I changed five schools so as not to lose education, because the main condition for the fact that I ride was good grades.
As a result, my mother took me, went to Viktor Nikolaevich and asked if there was a point in riding. But it makes no sense to ride for Russia, because there is a very great competition. And he was not ready to contact another country, because at that time he had the whole national team of Russia. If I now came to Eteri Tutberidze, she would also say that she was not up to girls and boys from another country.
Then my mother - a woman who does not like to waste time - directly said: “What to do? Mom replied that we were born in Russia. He says: "Well, you are someone." And when my mother said that we were Azerbaijanis by metric, he offered to ride Azerbaijan. Then my mother took me, and we went to Elena Anatolyevna Tchaikovskaya. I still remember the feeling of how I was shaking everything inside and outside, when we walked along a long corridor in the Olympic to its coaching.
My mother said: "Take her - she will ride, will not take it - will not be." And so the whole transition to Azerbaijan was arranged by Elena Anatolyevna Tchaikovskaya. What is its contribution to figure skating? This is especially true for ice dancing. Because the obligatory dance, original, tango - it is the invented scheme of steps that dance duets still ride. She came up with her herself.
This is also a coach who raised the first world champion in female single skating Maria Butyrskaya. Her contribution to figure skating, in my opinion, has not yet been beaten. Of the Russian experts, for sure. Then I became the first Azerbaijani in history, which was selected at the World Cup. Before that, of course, there were representatives of Azerbaijan, but they were all Russian girls who simply changed their passports.
And I was my own, dear, and took it away. I also remember the opening of the rink in Baku.
And with them I was, a girlfriend, who began to ride at 11 years old and did not even dream of something high. We drove in the same bus with all the champions, I sat next to Irina Slutskaya. The whole government of the country has arrived. It was such a bright and emotional event that I realized - everything is not in vain. Of the negative, I recall the situation that now seems funny.
There was my first junior world championship in Canada. In general, it probably was my fifth start in my life-before that there were two stages of the Grand Prix and some other “fluorescp”. And here is the World Cup. It was a shock for me that Canadians bought tickets for training at six in the morning to see how my group was skating. At that time, it was difficult to imagine this in Russia, and in Canada there was a peak of attention.
I had Don Quixote, I got into an initial position. And I saw that they showed me on all eight screens. It was a hockey rink: in a cube 4 screens and 4 more for each wall. And after that I do not remember my performance at all. I then piled up a lot, but did not remember anything. I woke up only when the program ended. What was connected with?It was necessary to do the operation, but it was scary to do because it was specific.
Therefore, I decided to complete. At the age of 20, I understood that I would not begin to start the Olympic champion, but to master the journalism that I had chosen for a long time, it was time to start. The weakest places of athletes are knees and back. When you jump, fall, turn your knees, there is a cumulative effect. I had to do the operation, but none of the doctors guaranteed that it would go well and that I would not limp after.
This would interfere in ordinary life, not to mention sports. Now I support the tone of the knee with special exercises. As soon as I stop doing, my knee begins to whine. Here is such a fate of the athlete - throughout all the remaining life of life remaining after professional sports. Did their approach differ something? In each group there was a good tandem “Man-Woman”, and it is still supported.
Tchaikovskaya, for example, had Vladimir Kotin, who always helps. There were only such coaches who constantly praise you. Everyone needs a result. But I was very lucky with each of them, because everyone was a man. And when they say now that Tutberidze is a monster, I understand that she is very humane about the girls at a certain moment. It was the same with me. There was a moment when I just had all the left thigh was repulsed in bruises from falls.
I drove up to Elena Anatolyevna and said that I could no longer. She says: “Have you repulsed everything? This is a normal story. When I trained with Maria Butyrskaya and she went to the competition, Sergey Dudakov worked with the younger group, so I also have known him for a long time. This was also unforgettable. Anyway, men have different energy, they are more and more calm than impulsive women. Therefore, the tandem "Man-woman" was created for a reason. Is he really such a powerful specialist in technology as it is described?
What is important for the coach, he knew how to convey the information. He is very calm, and there is such an endurance in it. I did not succeed in training, I was sick, I beat my heel into the ice. But he knew how to choose the right words with his calmness. Moreover, this was not an amybled calm, but a charging. Could you then imagine that such a choreographer would grow out of it?
